"Here we return to the basic rhythms of life - breath, pulse, motion;
the time found in the fragrance of blossoms, the presence of birds, the growth of trees, the rotation of the Earth.
In kinship with each moment, we step into the timeless." - (Emergence Magazine, TIME)

Selina GulleryYoga & meditation & Qi GongSelina Gullery, B.A. in Modern Languages from Trinity College, Dublin is an internationally renown yoga teacher, teacher trainer, intuitive chef and translator.
She spent 10 years studying and travelling extensively with Swami Samarpanananda, a yogi from the Himalayas and has explored and trained in numerous other Yoga styles (notably with Shiva Rea and Samudra School of Yoga), meditation practices and somatic movement schools (see below). More recently, she commenced a voyage of rediscovery of the poets, philosophers and myths of her own country, Ireland. It is here she found herself enraptured in a yoga of homecoming. She is a Senior Teacher at the Celtic School of Yoga and co-leads annual retreats with the founder, folklorist, archaeologist and musician Jack Harrison. In her Teacher Trainings, in classes and on retreat, she encourages the growth of the spiritual and individual self in her students, through cultivating self-love, embracing imperfections and residing in the gentle strength of the higher Self. |
Jack HarrisonYoga & Poetry & Music & PhilosophyJack on Jack:
I first encountered yoga in the 1970s and 1980s in San Francisco at a yoga school in Haight-Ashbury where I lived and played music. Five years later I was in Galway on the West coast of Ireland and practising with the Irish Wheel of Yoga. I studied many styles including Iyengar and Satyananda, until, in about 2000, I was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga and did a teacher training at Yoga Thailand and later in Dublin and Clare Island, Co Mayo, the island of my mother’s family. This was followed by many more trainings in Anusara Yoga in San Francisco, Paris and Paros in Greece. I began teaching in 2005. I have been playing music and singing since I was child. I have a Masters degree in Irish Folklore and Archaeology and have worked for many years as a consultant and lecturer in Heritage Interpretation. Only recently have I realised that these three interests—yoga, music, and folklore/mythology/ archaeology—had anything to do with each other. And they have now manifested as the Celtic School of Yoga which ties together the yoga traditions of India with those of the Celtic world. I have travelled widely giving workshops, intensives and teacher trainings and I now teach with a strong influence from the Celtic tradition. These practices explore how it is to ally movement of the body with breath, focus, mythology, poetry, music and the natural world—and the astonishing fact of being alive.
