Inis mór Retreat
5 - 9 May 2026
Yoga, music and mythology
A retreat to the sacred shores of Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands on the wild West Coast of Ireland, with Selina Gullery and Jack Harrison of the Celtic School of Yoga.
Special guests joining us on the island will be composer and singer Deirdre Ní Chinnéide and Celtic Priest Dara Molloy, who will guide us through the remarkable monastic sites of Inis Mór.
At the edge of the old world and the beginning of the new, where Celtic mythology meets Indian philosophy, we invite you into a yoga of homecoming — a journey that will deepen your relationship with the world around you and your place within it.
This soulful retreat unfolds in the extraordinary beauty of Inis Mór, where together we will explore practices rooted in ancient tradition while opening the door to profound personal transformation.
What Awaits You:
🌿 Daily yoga and meditation
🎶 Live music woven into practice and ritual
📜 Poetry and Celtic philosophy
🗺️ Guided tours of sacred and monastic sites
🚶♀️ Contemplative walking and presence
Inis Mór — Island at the Edge of the World
The Aran Islands were once a place of refuge for scholars and priests during a dark time in Europe — a place where manuscripts were kept safe and carefully copied to be passed on to future generations.
Over four days, we will explore the wonders of the island on foot and by bicycle, guided by Jack Harrison, Celtic Priest Dara Molloy and musician and teacher Deirdre Ní Chinnéide.
We will venture to the very edge of the world — to an ancient fortress on a headland that seems to hold countless secrets, still waiting to be heard.

The programme will be adapted to the group and to the weather.
We will support you in planning your journey and promise you plenty of nature, rest, yoga, music, poetry — and joy!

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
Where midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet’s wings.

Impressions from past retreats to the Burren and Inis Mór...
"There is a kindness that dwells deep down in things; it presides everywhere, often in the places we least expect. The world can be harsh and negative, but if we remain generous and patient, kindness inevitably reveals itself. Something deep in the human soul seems to depend on the presence of kindness; something instinctive in us expects it, and once we sense it we are able to trust and open ourselves."
