Selina has been studying, practicing, and teaching yoga since 1996. She holds a B.A. in Modern Languages from Trinity College Dublin and brings the same precision to teaching that she once brought to translation — combined with a deep, lived commitment to embodied practice.
Her path has taken her through ten years of study with Himalayan yogi Swami Samarpanananda, training in Prana Flow Yoga with Shiva Rea, Somatic Movement Arts, Kashmiri Shaivism, Feldenkrais, and Somatic Experiencing. She continues ongoing training in Body-Mind Centering, trauma resolution, and the yoga of sound.
She has taught and presented at international festivals including Bali Spirit Festival (Indonesia), Udaya Live (Bulgaria), Boom Festival (Portugal), and Cologne Yoga Festival (Germany), alongside major festivals across France.
She teaches fluently in English, French, and German.
Her style is grounded and expansive — poetic, practical, rooted in ancient wisdom and modern science.

WHAT IS SOMATIC YOGA?
Somatic yoga blends the principles of traditional yoga with somatic therapy — an approach centered on the body and felt sensation (from the Greek soma, "body").
In practice, somatic yoga:
- Slows movement down so you can listen closely to what's happening in the body
- Releases tension held in the tissues, often linked to stress or past trauma
- Regulates the nervous system, inviting the body out of chronic stress states
- Reconnects body and mind for deeper self-awareness
- Lets go of performance — there is no "perfect" pose to strive towards
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Comparative philosophy — Eastern wisdom as universal wisdom
- Dynamic and restorative bodywork practices, organized by element
- Trauma-informed yoga: specific practices for the nervous system
- Body Reading — learning to read the physical, energetic, and emotional body
- Applied anatomy in movement, in collaboration with osteopath David Adam Kanner
- Personal research and inquiry
- The art of teaching, and what it means to hold the role of teacher
- Personal mentorship during and after the training
- Cooking together — the yoga of food, rooted in Ayurvedic principles
- Group work and peer support
WHAT YOU'LL TAKE AWAY
🧘 Learn, explore, and practice postural yoga as a doorway to a more intimate experience of yourself and the world around you
🧘 Integrate yoga into daily life, drawing on ancestral wisdom traditions — free of dogma or doctrine
🧘 Graduate ready to teach, certified through Yoga Alliance International
WHO THIS IS FOR
- Anyone seeking greater self-awareness, personal and transpersonal growth

Having attended five yoga retreats led by Selina, I knew without hesitation that she was the guide I wanted for my YTT200 journey. I completed the YTT200 training with Selina in Aix en Provence from February-November 2024.
Selina possesses a profound wealth of knowledge and experience in yoga that is both inspiring and deeply impressive. I feel incredibly fortunate and grateful to have had the opportunity to complete my training under her guidance.
Selina exceeds every expectation as a teacher, going above and beyond to ensure her students truly grasp the depth and nuance of the concepts she shares. A natural educator, she conveys her extensive expertise—spanning the history, philosophy, and anatomy of yoga, as well as the intricate connections between mind, body, and breath—with clarity, confidence, and ease.
Her engaging and committed attitude and approach creates an environment where every student feels supported, empowered, and capable of learning. Training with Selina has been an enriching experience, one that has left a lasting impact on my yoga practice and my ability to create my own opportunities to teach yoga with confidence.
